Overview
The Community Recap feature offers community owners and facilitators an easy and convenient way to stay abreast of their community’s activity. It generates summaries of posts and comments, providing a high-level overview of conversation topics, community dynamics, and engagement trends over a selected period—giving you more time and insights to meaningfully connect with your community. The feature is currently in the Beta testing stage.
How to Use the Feature
Access the feature:
The Community Recap button is available on the right sidebar of your Yellowdig community.
Selecting a Date Range:
You can choose from preset date ranges to generate a summary. The current available options are:

- Last 7 days

Generating a Summary:
After selecting your desired date range, click "Generate." The feature will provide an overview that includes:- Overview of all posts and comments within that period.
- Overview of engaged posts within that period.
- Overview of the top most engaged post within that period.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which posts are chosen for summarization?
We summarize the most engaged posts within the selected time frame. Engagement is determined by the number of comments and reactions, ensuring that the most relevant conversations are highlighted.
Are the summaries consistent?
Because LLMs (Large Language Models) generate varying outputs, summaries may differ slightly each time. The focus remains on key themes and engagement.
Does this feature send data to third parties?
No, all data remains within Yellowdig’s infrastructure. The AI model is trained and operates in-house. All inferences are run within our secure AWS environment on GPU instances.
What are the data privacy implications?
All data is handled securely within Yellowdig's infrastructure. Data is discarded immediately after processing, ensuring a high level of privacy protection. The Neural Network does not retain any user data, such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII), after the analysis is complete.
Are there any limits on generating summaries?
As of now, there are no limits on generating summaries, but please note that this feature may eventually be a paid add-on. Contact your Yellowdig account manager or LearnMore@yellowdig.com for more details.
