This guide explains how to log into Yellowdig directly (without launching from your LMS like Canvas), including region-specific URLs and common troubleshooting steps.
1. Use the Correct Login URL (Important)
Yellowdig has different domains depending on your region. Using the wrong one can result in errors like “account does not exist” even if your account is active.
-
US Region (Default):
https://yellowdig.app -
Australia (AU Region):
https://yellowdig-au.app
Make sure you are using the correct URL for your institution.
2. How to Log In
If you have a Yellowdig password
- Go to your region-specific URL (above).
- Enter your email and password.
- Click Log In.
If you normally log in through Canvas or SSO
If you typically access Yellowdig through your LMS (like Canvas), you may not have a password set yet.
To log in directly:
- Go to your region-specific login page.
- Click Forgot Password.
- Enter your email address.
- Check your email and follow the steps to create a password.
- Return to the login page and sign in.
3. Password Reset Links (by Region)
Make sure you use the correct reset link for your region:
-
US Region:
https://yellowdig.app/user/recoverpassword -
Australia (AU Region):
https://yellowdig-au.app/user/recoverpassword
4. Troubleshooting
“Account does not exist” error
This is usually caused by using the wrong domain.
- Double-check that you are logging in through the correct region:
- US users → https://yellowdig.app
- AU users → https://yellowdig-au.app
- If you're unsure which region to use, contact your instructor or support.
Not receiving password reset email
- Check your spam/junk folder.
- Make sure you use the same email address associated with your Yellowdig account.
- Confirm you're using the correct regional reset link.
Still having trouble?
If you're unable to log in after following these steps, reach out to our support team with:
- The email you're trying to log in with

- A screenshot of the error (if possible)
5. Recommendation for First-Time Setup
Direct login access is created and linked through the LMS during the initial course launch. Users should first access Yellowdig via their LMS (e.g., Canvas) to ensure their account is properly created and connected to the correct community.
Once the account is created in the LMS, users can use direct login via their region-specific URL for future access if your LMS is down.
