STEP 1: Add Yellowdig Assignment

1. Click on Coursework -> Add Assignment -> Learning Tool

2. Select Yellowdig

3. Configure the Assignment as follows:

a) Change the format: Learning Tool

b) Name: "Yellowdig Community"

c) Unit: Make sure you select a unit that spans the entire course length. (Yellowdig is a single course-long assignment)

d) Type: Participation

e) Audience: Entire class

f) Due Date: End of course or later.

g) Open: Immediately

Grading: Graded, set the number of points you'd like to award for participation in Yellowdig (commonly 5-10% of a course grade), Included in final grade.

Show Grade: As soon as grade is available. Optional: Alternatively, you can choose to hide the grade until the end of the course and instruct learners to look within the Yellowdig community for their progress.

 

h) Open the Learning Tool Assignment Options and modify as follows:

i) Launch tool "In a new window"

ii) Check "Automatically launch the tool"

 

i) Click "Save your assignment".

 

STEP 2: Add Yellowdig Page in the Side Navigation

 

1. Add a New Page and name the page "Yellowdig Community".

2. Select Learning Tools.

3. Select Yellowdig under either "Your learning tools" or the Featured tools list.

4. Click "Launch Yellowdig"
